Alder body, Maple neck with graphite reinforcement bar, rosewood fingerboard 20 frets, American Vintage pickups with Switch S1. Corona Manufactures (U.S.) during 2006. Sunburst color.

[edit] After 3 months of heavy use, the handle has moved a little I had to do to settle belittle the ropes.
Otherwise no problem about holding agreement is perfect.

[edit 01-2009] The potentiomtre Alch in shade which seems rather frequent providers on the J-bass. Few dollars and a few welds later he was replaced by the same model.
The ease of play is getting better, I think it's more a habit than anything else. I often replace the strings (i have kept the original drawing 45-110) to keep a very good sound (approximately every two months).

UTILIZATION

The bass is heavy the first time are difficult especially if one is accustomed to another low in another category. I was used to the lightness of my old Ibanez SR500 to the weight of the Jazz Bass is quite big. The access to relatively acute faile until after the 15th AC box plot thickens.
Good ergonomics has proven in recent decades.

SOUNDS

Test with an amp MarkBass (very neutral amp) in the stupid store offers great sound, great sustain and excellent dynamics. The sounds are quite varis since there are two microphones that we can adjust the volume independently. In short, a versatile bass I have a preference for his round sound dynamic and extremely accurate. After the purchase I tried a preamp Hartke VXL, and a sound system, bass retains its character.
The particularity of this model is the switch S1, which boosts the microphone serious, and if you are a fan of his well rounded and dynamic go for it!
For me it's THE SOUND JazzBass original.

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for two days already with a concert performed on the day of purchase, you get used easily to a beast (after an adjustment period) and the joy of playing has never been as great . I love everything about this bass the look the sound, I would do without this choice problem. But in 1600 there has pondered many times.
I reissue my comments as you go.
