It s more American than Mexican as it has a Mexican American characteristics. Already the sunburst finish is the standard american (very successful), the micro bp outcome of the American series, the other series is custom, the bridge and the mechanical series come from us and especially it is equipped with electronics american deluxe.

The finish is impeccable, the bass is delivered set, I did not have anything to edit the setup of micro bp roof surprises in first, but it is justified, nail body exudes quality that the handle is satin and very pleasant to the touch

UTILIZATION

To use this bass is very nice, the handle slides right, it is a little but not too round. It's true that it is a bit heavy and not very practical shape to play sitting ..
To use the drop D is not super accurate, you must fine tune every time. All pots are very effective. There 's no breath. I am always happy to use it, it is beautiful and exudes quality and effective

SOUNDS

It has a clear sound that can drop very low, it really has the Fender sound, corrections are very effective, so there is a large range of sound on the other hand I have not yet found a way to make aggressive slap sounds, it is always in the sweetness and clarity.

OVERALL OPINION

I love this bass is beautiful, original (for a fender) with its micro configuration, it sounds really nice and it is not too expensive. This is a very good choice, a very good value for money that I highly recommend.

UTILIZATION

Handle a little more 'easy' than my previous American Standard Jazz Bass.
I love the rosewood fingerboard and finish.
Ergonomics is the same as on a JB U.S., so no particular problem.
I'm not a soloist but I can walk quietly the 12th to the 20th box.
For audio, it takes a little time to appreciate all the nuances of modes active / passive pickups PB and JB.
The interest here is to mix the sound from both pickups.
I like to put 50bp / 50JB for Walking Bass.
On the pre-amp, the output level is sufficient (above Geddy Lee). This is the same preamp as the American Deluxe Jazz Bass.
Low, the agreement is good 'no worries once granted.

SOUNDS

I wanted to get the 'versatile bass' for less than 1200 euros to avoid carrying two bass at each concert.
I tried two Geddy Lee JB (maple fingerboard), a dozen American Deluxe JB (rosewood and maple) and 'Reggie Hamilton Signature'.
In passive mode, the sound of JB U.S. Standard for the game to fingers. In active mode, it is perfect for slap (sound is very pure) and repertoire 'modern'.
I play on a Gallien-Krueger combo 1200CEB U.S.. I did not notice any particular breath in active mode, after this may depend on the amp used.
The amp does not flinch when I switched from active to passive and vice versa.
The bass is accurate active mode, it is the warmth and precision. I put the medium level 0 on the bass, treble and bass 10. One can easily get serious about the micro Robbie Shakespeare Precision passive mode. You can also get a sound close to that of Deftones or Neil Jason, even if it is the big difference between the two.
If you slap melted with the same budget, Marcus Miller or Geddy Lee will be most appropriate with maple fingerboard.
The bass is not everything, touch the rest.

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for four years and I am very satisfied.

UTILIZATION

The weight is bearable with a wide strap. The beautiful is around 4 pounds.
Access to acute is good (I often chords and arpeggios below the 12 box).
It is a Mexican fast enough but there are the typical sound of the JB without counting all the settings that can be done with 2 pickups jazz and precision. The U.S. preamp is also very good, it rocks.

SOUNDS

I play progressive rock (set of fingers and a pick). The sound is very good with effects (bass overdrive, delay).
I play more at the micro precision (rounded balance / attack).
I plug the bass head Peavey 4x10 with a Marshall, and I can easily have its hybrid jazz / precision which pleases me greatly.

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for 2 weeks. I love this bass that I have not yet done recording.
The value for money is really good because all the parts are of U.S. origin. I am satisfied with the finishing and assembly.

Is still too expensive but the quality is to go.

+ Quality and versatility. the sound is wonderful. very natural.
- A small breath in active mode.

Low active (electronic 18V or 2 9V batteries), passive.
Alder body, maple neck, rosewood fingerboard. 20 frets
Chrome tuners.
Good finish of the instrument, on mine anyway, it has nothing to envy to a made in USA, far from it!
There is also a Hipshot on the E string to enter acordage Re, very convenient.


UTILIZATION

In my opinion the handle U is a little big but not too wide, not bad.
It's heavy but hey, it's Fender bass, the handle slumps, normal.
The shape of the black body "body contour" with its black / white edging and chrome are part of the most beautiful effect
The handle is nice, access to acute is easy but there is a sacred bond thickness at the neck / body, but nothing problematic here is not the mass that I have so I'd mi. The Hipshot is excellent!
I do not know well yet the functions of the respective knobs of settings, but I get to have a wide range of different sounds for any style of music. I only played in active mode!

SOUNDS

I have an excellent bass violin with laqu'elle I joux mainly I noted that there to have a pretty good bass but with a different sound & complementary.
I like to play good rock set with 2 microphones or accuracy boosts here!
I board an amp Hartke HA 3500 + baffle 4x10 Warwick
and a Fender Bassman 100: I get what I want to like her (for my taste) with both.
I love the finish, the sound and look terrible .....

OVERALL OPINION

I did the bass for twenty years, I like the bass Ibanez SDGR 1500, UB Schack, Warwick Corvette, this one is different in look and sound but this is I was looking for. I bought ocas ais. She was 1 year old, excellent condition and very well adjusted with a fly very light and very practical. A good deal.
