Fender Active Jazz Bass Deluxe
Published on 05/23/03 at 15:00I got the bass through musicians friend as my second bass. For about 550 dollars.
It sounds great, it feels tight and precise. Makes for very easy slapping but doubles for nice deep tones. I really enjoy it.
Its awfully heavy but thats not too big of a deal. It also had a few problems with the screws. I had to make some modifications in my shop but its great now.
Like i said it had some problems with the screws and the bridge but easily fixable. And that is just the one i got i'm sure it varies from bass to bass. The neck feels great and the playing part of the bass is excellent.
The bass is awesome besides the bridge and screws. No doubt it was a good buy and i would buy it again....…

A jazz bass that has big ...
Published on 08/19/14 at 11:58 (This content has been automatically translated from French)everything has been said ... A Mexican but with a violin that seems good level.
UTILIZATION
So as they say: "This is a jazz bass." So the neck is very thin and nice and access to acute is perfect. It does not sting the nose. Personally I find not particularly light, but it is no longer a dead donkey. In summary, ergonomics that I love, which is not at all exotic for a jazz bass.
SOUNDS
I play rock, jazz, reggae, funk and pop. In any case we easily manage to find a good sound. The preamp not color the sound evil. It performs its job and corrections are effective. One can easily go from a very medium punk sound good for roots reggae. I always play with two microphones...…

SOUNDS
I play rock, jazz, reggae, funk and pop. In any case we easily manage to find a good sound. The preamp not color the sound evil. It performs its job and corrections are effective. One can easily go from a very medium punk sound good for roots reggae. I always play with two microphones simultaneously. I think they complement each other very well, between the roundness of the neck pickup and dynamic pickup. The set provides a powerful and dynamic sound. In all cases, the sound is typical jazz bass but with more cumbersome. I think she should be able to cope well in a metal folder.
One caveat though: the noiseless pickups lack a bit of precision.
OVERALL OPINION
I played for 7 years extensively (my main bass). I recently grafted him a pair of vintage microphones benedetti. It gives him a new lease of life and it can be given more precision in sound, enhanced susceptibility to attack.
I tried a lot of bass before buying (other fender, cort telecaster, Warwick, Ibanez ...). I was looking for a versatile bass and I was and am still filled. A very endearing low, super comfortable. With new pickups I find it perfect. This is a bass that I will keep a long time. A highly recommended for those seeking a typed his jazz bass with a bit more cumbersome.

I noticed that the version available US rglage of the handle from the base of the handle, while the Mexican version, it is at the top, like on my home US).
Unless the version of an old silent US gnration ...
Amricaine version comes with a rigid fender tui (with and felt clbtr of nttoyage, sticker).
Mexican, it must be offered a saccoche. AND the tools like BTR, and much is at Leeroy merlin you find them
UTILIZATION
The neck is super enjoyable. trs cramped, not pais but
its handle is pais (1 mm) than my C4 CORT, but since it is narrower. It compensates.
I tell you the sweet p microphones. The spectrum of use is huge with the active elect. Excellent sustain. Real clear treble. Severe hot property, and round. Finally, there is something to do with rglages
The sound is the same United States version (I compared in stores) under the same conditions.
The violin is excelente invoice.
With it, the slap is more affordable. It sounds good, and not "force". She knows how to groove and make walking follies.
SOUNDS
As I said above, it really covers everything that exists in bass sounds. almost all styles.
A great value qualitson / violin / prstige brand) price.
I can not describe the sound of fat, but it is trs clean, Dfine, whatever the rglages. Bewitching
OVERALL OPINION
I've had two days. I almost cracked a US OCCAZ passive with S1. it silent in 2003, and 210 euros more expensive.
Ba I do not regret my purchase. It replaced my Cort C4. even if the apprciais j,
I l trs a beautiful instrument that sounds like "big" sister US, which has exactly the same face. With the difference, I can consider to buy a Ampeg Amp) ... faster (well, still missing a lot).
The more I think and I wonder why I would have a US prices. Besides contributing to the salary of the worker who drives a US Ford F150, when the Mexican bike runs ...
I think the diffrence is mainly here and in our heads.
A if I forgot, as I bought a Fender Start US (the real) in 2003 (my son)
I noticed that the coupon quality control stamp on silent US stratum in box Tune / Test. While there has clearly been no control over my Mexican Jazz bass, since no buffer ...
As the bumper US strikes the box "Assembly", he, possde a real buffer, when the Mexican possde pen. (Sic) the limit is more craft in Mexico
