Flea bass developed by and manufactured in China.
This is a 3 / 4 at short scale (30 "instead of 34).
It is therefore substantially smaller than conventional bass, and dedicated to juniors (as the name suggests), so young beginners ... bassists small ... and who suffer from back, supporting less bass definitely too heavy. The build quality is amazing considering the price of purchase. I paid € 200, new, 2 year warranty and with the original case.
I think the dealer was a relief to find a buyer for this "toy" is displayed at full price € 430 (Here, the quality / price ratio would have taken for its grde, but ... 200!).
Screw the handle 4-point (20 frets) is very nice and original settings, quite satisfactory. I just back down a little action to make it a little more "slick".
A single micro (passive), one volume, one tone, one branch and you play!
Originally, the strings pass through the body, which still needs to improve the sustain, but the bridge type Bad Ass also plans to mount a conventional manner (What I have not tested, because in this case, we must go up ropes to pitch 30 ").
So far, price / quality ratio: hard to beat.

UTILIZATION

This is hardly surprising to end up with a small low, as it is well balanced and well proportioned. Then that's what I was looking for, after all: small, lightweight, easy to play. Ideal for travel with public transport, for example, or holidays.
As already mentioned, the original settings are downright good (we will fine-tune if necessary, according to his personal style of play).
Access to acute: nothing special to report.

SOUNDS

For sound, we must be realistic and not expect to have the big sound that kills a Stingray or JazzBass. But it's quite nice, and fiddling a bit 2 knobs of the guitar and those of the amp, is enough to play.
I have unfortunately not 5 amps at my disposal to test it.
I do jazz and blues, and I find the sound quite satisfactory, given the size of the beast and the purchase price, of course.
To round a little sound (it's a short scale, do not forget!), I grant in E flat (and I am slightly relieved the tension of the neck to compensate). And then it changes quite a bit more!
The original strings are not top (Ernie Ball?)! It's turns, and climb the D'Addario, for example. And as they pass through the body, do not bother to search for special strings tune of 30. "The 34" will do the trick.
For rock and stuff a little harder, it will tear (that Flea who designed it, after all).
There, the 30 "will help find more slammin sounds.
For slappeurs crazy, it can hardly be a little, but will still provide the minimum service satisfactorily ..

OVERALL OPINION

Before opting for this solution "a little extreme," I tried other low light, but with it, according to my height (1m71), I finally found the little low to me will go anywhere without burden myself back and kill me.
I will use my JazzBass of course always 4kg200, but ... sitting.
So young bassists to cervical or veillard municated, this toy is for you!
But if you measure 1m95, it probably will not be for you ... although ... As Ukulébass perhaps! LOL!
