This bass is made in Asia, and it has a good quality violin (verified by a pro luthier). The low weight is an asset to the back, but can be a little annoying for the reason, according to what we play. The neck is not painted and it is very late for a low, which allows you to play quickly and efficiently. The frets are standard size.

The pickups are well on the big plus of this low since it is active Bartolini pickups. It can therefore be set very precisely the sound you want with a 3-band EQ (low, medium, high), a pickup selector (ie the very attack, or a round) and a volume knob.

UTILIZATION

The handle is nice, but need a little maintenance for wood. Ergonomics is a monstrous run fine and easy access to acute. The consensus on the handle slipped a lot, but it's just a matter of habit. Difficult to target a freight side of the handle.

SOUNDS

The sounds are varied depending on the settings of the microphones. Given its weight, this bass is definitely not the most appropriate style for a heavy and round ... (Even if you can have a round with some adjustments) However, for the slap, funk and some other games where the acute attack is important, it's just perfect bass! Too bad for me because I would rather have a heavy sound ...

OVERALL OPINION

I use it in rock band for 3 years. She never let go (just a poteur unscrewed but quickly recovered), and I do almost no interviews ... Still she keeps fishing and holds up between two revisions.
What I like most about this bass, it's her body (neck thin, lightweight, impeccable finish). However, the sound it does not correspond to what I play (its too sharp and snapping).

If I had to go back, I will turn to a low "heavier" in sound, because it's not terrible vis a vis my style. But the bass itself is just perfect in every way! I strongly advise all bass players a little active in their sound.
