Electra Electric

Kingston BassPublished on 09/27/04 at 15:00
Purchase: I purchased this guitar from ebay. It was quick and easy and took about 3 weeks to arrive. I paid $147.99 w/ shipping and handling.

Like's: I'm really impressed with the quality of this guitar for being a cheapy. It's no fender or gibson, but it rocks.

Dislikes: The only thing i can think of is that the strings were to high off the fret board. It was easy to fix.

Quality Scale: On a scale of 1-10 this is probably a 5.60. Mine was a custom with a maple fret board.

This is a cool guitar and is pretty cheap.

Kingston Electric Bass

Its a 3/4 size of whatever. I purchased this bass for $60.00 on sale at a pawn shop in the summer of 2001 or 2002. I was 14 or 15 at the time and did not really know much about guitars. This guitar helped me play better and learn bass, but needless to say its a piece of junk. The strings and frets rattle, I put some stickers on it. Then got a regular electric guitar, then a Squier Affinity P bass, which is the bomb.com.. I learned how to play regular guitar quite well and yesterday got a Jag Stang (fender). I dont recommend Kingston they are a Canadian company who are not very reputable, so Ive heard.. This is the cream white model.

I like its size its cute, and that it influenced my music style because it is my "first guitar" or what not.

Its just junky..It might be vintage or something but it rattles, buzzes, and just plays bad.

Its cheaply made. Rosewood neck, alder or bass wood body. Regular bass pickups, nothing special.

I think the bass is not good, its ok if you are a beginner like I was and or a kid who's looking for a cheap piece of equipment.

Crown Electric Bass

I had been looking for a 70's style bass with a fast action for awhile when I ran up on this little gem at Dan's Cash America Pawn in Louisville KY. This is a very fast
bass. I only paid $80.00 and, even though it's not a big name, I think it was an exceptional value.

As I mentioned the neck is fast with very comfortable string spacing and so on. Tone is very good and it keeps tune surprisingly well. It has a chrome, Humbuck style pick-up, pick gaurd (nice and big like I wanted),
chrome tuners and so on. It has a real vintage look and sound to match. The red sunburst style color makes it stand out as little different from the norm.

On the down side I wish it had a longer neck, it only has 20 frets. It has 1, I think original, humbuck style pick-up. I would have preferred a 2-pick-up, but as a said the tone was so good I couldn't pass it up. Weight is a little heavey but, it is very well balanced, so you don't notice the weight so much. It has a few little nicks from careless handling I wish weren't there and it is showing a little use wear.

Construction is A-1. It has a solid wood body and neck, though I can't tell exactly what type but it must be a hard wood judging from the weight. It has a steel reinforced, bolt on neck. The overall quality is surprisingly good.

I am very pleased overall with this guitar. It has the right "feel". I beleive it to be a rare bird.

Me and my friends decieded to start a band. I decieded to play bass because my friend and an regular electric guitar. My friends cousin had a bass he wanted to sell. He sold it to me for $25.

I like the color of the guitar. I like the brand. The neck of the guitar is it good condition. It should be brought in to be fixed up but I don't have any money.

I don't like somethings on it because they are broken. Sometimes since its broken it doesn't play right and it as some white marks on the head of the guitar.

It was a good quality guitar but it has had its better days. It is well built though. The string are still in good shape but it is way out of tune. It is a basic guitar it is the shape of a regular guitar. One thing wrong with it is where you plug the amp cord in is loose and sometimes it doesn't work than.

I would like to have that guitar because I think it could help are band. I'm 14 right now and maybe in a couple of years with the help of that guitar are band could be famous. I think are band would kick ass with that guitar. It would make my life joyous.
