ESP B104 Fretless

LTD B-104Published on 11/30/03 at 15:00
I bought this bass off the internet from music123.com. I bought it because i wanted a second bass, it was a good price and i wanted a fretless. It was 200$ on sale.

I liked First the fact that it was fretless. You can really get some good riffs with it. Second, the neck is fast. Third the pickups are really good. And it is easy to play fingure style with, which i do. Easy to tune. And you can use it for any style. The best thing about it was the price. It is a really good value for the money you pay.

There are very few things i dont like about this bass, but this one is the major beef.On most fretless versions the bass doesnt sound as warm or as edgy as the fretted ones. But on this...…

There are very few things i dont like about this bass, but this one is the major beef.On most fretless versions the bass doesnt sound as warm or as edgy as the fretted ones. But on this guitar it is really unedgy. I wanted the deep tone, and the warm edgy tone the fretless version, but lets face it that will never happen.

This Unit is very light wieght. which is good sometimes, but also means not as durable. But as long as you dont kick it drop it or throw it you'll be ok.

Ok this might not be the best fretless bass ever, but for 200$ it is the best value i have seen.So if you are just starting fretless this bass is good for you.

Bought from Musician's Friend for $279 because I needed a bass for my recording.

Extremely good build quality and finish. Good balance and comfortable to wear. Came with a case -- most companies don't offer a free case until the $800 range!

The sound isn't all that easy to control -- I wasn't able to get a straight-forward Precision-type thud. Then again, I wasn't using a proper bass amp. I still felt that a bass at this price range would do better to have simpler controls -- I find the pan control useless and the mid-scoop redundant -- I'd rather do my EQ on the sound board or the amp.

Excellent. Beveled edges, luminant transpared blue finish, finished headstock, smooth tuners...…

Excellent. Beveled edges, luminant transpared blue finish, finished headstock, smooth tuners and good strings all for under $300.

This was a good bass, but I wish it had simpler controls. Excellent value for money, though.

The whole guitar has great qulitys i was amazed at the price i got it for after i heard the sound that it maid but now ive been playing for a little over a yaer and im in a band, so that tells you that it was perfect for a begginer and also perfect for a band.

actually i thought and thought of what not to like and i could not think of anything not to like.

it is a great model that was built with a lot of thought and qulity
