« Very nice low but .. »
Published on 11/22/13 at 14:58Swamp ash body in a very wood vein which gives an impression of unique artifact enhanced by the natural wood finish mine. The handle even finish reinforces this impression, only touch of color the face of the head is black matt. The effect is sublime for my taste.
Hardware side nothing wrong the mechanical, adjustable silet (a rarity), the two easel embedded in the body part, it's very beautiful and very well finished. Only hiatus finishing potentiometers breathing down very end, no landmark, no middle position, they turn too easily and the game Nothing wrong with the functional level they walk normally. The microphones are positioned oddly compared to strings, shifted treble.
D a general point of view this bass is our wonderful, what a mistake that incomprehensible to put potentiometers also sheap
UTILIZATION
At this low usage is the handle is quite nice flat end and very fast due to the natural oil finish, insensitive perspiration. Bass is light and compact. Rub your hand over the body of raw wood is a very pleasant sensation as unique. Volume potentiometers have a logarithmic curve, very sensitive in inoperative bottom up, more as they are not held each time that we push pull on the volume is changed, it is not very practical. The violin comes set no editing to do. Only an imbalance of power at the E string has forced me to stay strictly microphones serious odds to restore a little balance. It is surprising I found the same type of defect on my musicman sterling has the same type of microphone. Even more surprising is the E string on powerful even when the microphones are shifted towards the treble (there is a transverse adjustment on the bridge but it is background).
SOUNDS
At his level, I am skeptical. This bass has a particular sound, but still pretty interesting rock in the end, little possibility of change (it has some potential for serious and very little in the treble), even the push-pool positions do not bring much change in its
Other disagreeable overkill microphones, be it beautiful passive signal is much more powerful than force. Associated with the fact that it is two separate volumes and they have a difficult frankly logarithmic curve, mixing microphones live, it is painful to use. If you use multiple low input will change the tuning every time.
OVERALL OPINION
In conclusion this bass is a very beautiful object, very pleasant to play with his still rock without much variation. Too bad warwick has marred a beautiful violin with electronic discount and that is found only one other model corvette (found on the market) with this natural ash finish, otherwise the model fortress slightly more heavier and more expensive. If it were to do it again I would choose a more universal less specific Fortress. It remains nevertheless a very nice bass.
