Like all low Status, she performed in Rob Green are the boss of the brand. It has 24 frets, 2 pickups types pavers status "Hyperactive", a classic bridge status. Level settings, it has 4 knobs (volume, balance microphones, bass, treble) and a small switch that boosts the treble.
Level wood ash body, mine has a walnut table. The finish is unique: a mixture of polyurethane and polystyrene. This keeps the wood grain appearance and protect it from shocks. The appearance is very different from a painted body. Reinforced maple neck with 2 graphite rods. everything is super well put together, it feels solid stuff!

Edit of 24 May 2010:
After researching the net, it appears that the model I have is an Eclipse Artist longer rare. The difference is the table in walnut finish (varnish).

UTILIZATION

The handle is very nice, although very different from warwick, for example (just to compare two models in my possession). Warwick wider than at the head (4.2 cm), widening slightly at the 24th fret (6 cm), which allows it to go without too much difficulty. This first round is rather round and s'applatit freight from freight around the 5th. String gap is standard, although higher than WW. This bass weighs about 3.8 kg. very ergonomic, it does not feel its weight. Has two positions of the grip strap. And once connected, it dépotte. Enormous power. I was frankly surprised. Active Electronics course. we have a kind of modern but it still sounds "woody." The settings are super accurate and quickly obtained his sound. But it's a bass that requires precision gaming on the other hand I do not see the usefulness of the switch supposed to boost the total, at least it is very discreet ... dated 17/09/09 edit: after 3 months of use: The switch is actually very quiet useful to boost the highs without it being too "visible".

SOUNDS

It should probably do not all play styles (though). Status among users can find all kinds ... And microphones and settings are effective enough to develop his own sound. And for fans to slap, I think that status is strongly recommended (Mark King ....) but I do not practice, I have no opinion ... I play on a stack Eden Nemesis, with EBS and Digitech effects.

OVERALL OPINION

I use it only for 1 month. I comp this review as and when. I immediately adopted for several reasons: it is beautiful, it sounds great, it is ergonomic and can be set just hyper (well keeps the tuning). on the other hand is not splittable into liabilities. But Me, I do not care. At the time in 95 it was worth £ 1150. I paid 500 €. I would do without hesitation that choice!
edit dated 17/09/09: Now that I've found the right setup, I love it even more. it growl, it sends power without aggression. Nickel!
