Vigier Excess I

French low 90s regarding one series of the Excess.
Very massive bridge with 3-axis adjustment
Channel 90/10 (90% maple, 10% carbon) very rigid, perfectly and without control rod (useless)
24 frets and freight zero.
2 ply alder body, beautiful veining.
Benedetti passive pickups, two pavers
Electronics 2 bands; volume, balance, bass, treble and a trimmer to reduce breath.
Very stable mechanical and high quality !.
Sleeve anchor with 6 screws
Pickguard (dead on Excess 2) very harmonious with the design of the bass.

UTILIZATION

The neck is perfect, right as I, sounds perfectly balanced on all boxes
Very significant ergonomic profile of the classic body so familiar ground for just about everyone.
Overall weight very well controlled, flawless balance, the head does not fall against by not equipped with original straplock must change the screw-clip (the standard may not be in the 90s did not exist).
Access to great highs, nothing special to say about this side.

The sound good? Ben is a Vigier the question even arise ...

SOUNDS

It is suitable for all styles.
In fact, I would say this is the answer to those who want a Fender Jazz with a violin flawless high-flying electronics and mechanical flawless!
We can all play with the slamming of all maple neck, she puts all the crappy bass that are supposedly made for the slap!
Very low action, handle without bending, pulling any, somewhat typical rock but actually not at all!
Used again on a crappy amp or big night on a small stack SWR, the sound is simply the height

OVERALL OPINION

Bought used on a twist of fate in a very tight price in October 2014, I am still messed up!
It was that or a Squire Modified Jazz on which everything had to be rebuilt ...
I have another Vigier (Passion 2 carbon handle full site refrettage, sanding and varnish new electronic Noll / CREL), not the same and very complementary.
The handle still, what slamming!
A bass slappeur yet thought to rather rock.
So in fact it's really low for all styles.
Ratio q / w very good, judging by the price of a recent (€ 2,500 on average).
For the small number of French luthier, can we do better?
This is my second Vigier, if necessary, I will come back!
