Nice round handle (precision type) and very thick
Body, neck and maple fingerboard.

I made many changes to the bass, and it is now equipped with a second micro Di Marzio precision sleeve type position, I removed the phase switch (which I used to anything) I replaced by a second volume for the microphone. And finally I changed the original bridge for a Schaller.
So my notes do not take into account these changes.
UTILIZATION
The handle is enjoyable worse! It is not advisable for small hands, but I have a very good grip on it, access to acute is very easy, the junction body / neck is relatively late.
On the negative side, this bass is heavy. So yes it gives an impression of extreme strength (ie a tank) but after 2/3h it seriously beginning to be felt.
And the original bridge is an eyesore. This is a common piece of folded sheet that pulls the palm of the hand.
SOUNDS
Before change:
A very distinctive sound with a lot of high mids and some bass (a little) to Jaco. The sound is interesting, but definitely not happening everywhere and versatile with a real lack of fat and testicles.
After change:
The addition of the second microphone changes this bass at all. In the neck position only sound was pretty pissed accuracy, closing a little tone we find the typical sound of the details with whatever different. The mix of the two microphones gives his jazz bass on steroids.
It gains in flexibility and becomes much more interesting and typical.
OVERALL OPINION
I use this bass for 7 years and nothing in the world I would separate. Despite his absence she has I do not know what endearing and a sound that brings a touch of originality compared to "standard" low.
Now that she has suffered a lot of changes I could put it notes around 9 or 10.
