« Boss GT-6 »
Published on 12/04/02 at 15:00I purchased this at a midwest store for $495.
The unit adds a richness to my sound that the individual stomp boxes by Boss didn't. I was thinking about buying new amps until I got the GT-6. No need now. My Peaveys sound great! You can store more sounds than you will ever need and if that happens buy another one!
The manual sucks, it sucks, it sucks, it sucks. Did I mention the manual sucks? More important is that I have had some difficulty duplicating sounds achieved on Boss' individual stomp boxes so I have kept them and still use them sparingly. The next model needs to be able to accept a signal from a stomp box and automatically duplicate the settings and store them for you. I would also like to see a unit that can be attached to a mic stand to manupulate the midi info for ex. I want to go straight to a patch program rather than sit with my foot on the peddle waiting for the number to climb from 1 to 40. Too time consuming. I also would like to see a hard case for the unit. $150 quoted for a custom job, too much!
No problems there, looks good on stage too.
Well worth the money. Makes an average guitar and amp sound great.
