Bought on e-bay for $130 brand new.

The actual sounds of the effects being used is excellent. Everybody knows that Boss pedals are top of the line and I've owned a few myself. I've been using a DODFX-7 for about 6 years and for a beginner it's been great but I desired better tone. The Boss ME-33 has given me so many options to change the tone. I can adjust the gain on both the amp model and the regular distortion which comes in like 12 different settings. Unbelievable. The User sets are great because I can copy sounds from one set to the other by just using copy and then write. Very simple to use. A quick look at the manual and you're all set. The options are endless. I had a Digitech RP300 and returned it after 3 days because to me it was ridiculous to use. Sounds were fake and it seemed difficult to figure out. Also, you can change the tone, drive, reverb, delay without going into the whole setup. I've been able to get delay sounds to a perfect time. If you play any U2 songs you'll know what I'm talking about.
The delay setting is as good as a delay pedal. Like I said Boss knows good pedal sound.

If I have to complain about anything it would be the presets but then I've played a lot of effect pedals and they're all like this. These companies must have computer geeks who don't know how to play guitar make the presets. That's what is so great about this pedal is that you can make your own sound so easily.

Made out of hard plastic and well constructed. Led Lights and computer display are lit very well. Knobs and wah easy to turn and operate.

I wish I bought this pedal years ago. Trying to get that SRV tone can be very frustrating. I'm a big fan of SRV, the Edge of U2, Joe Satraini, and Van Halen. The Boss ME-33 has helped me get the tones with my fender fat strat set with seymour duncan pickups. I play through a Fender Princeton 65 DSP AMP. I couldn't be happier with this pedal. Boss does not make the ME-33 anymore (they upgraded to the ME-50) but they're selling on e-bay all the time. If you like to play many different guitar player styles this pedal is the one for you.

I bought this unit when it was fairly new in Belfast Northeren Ireland for £250.

I like the fact that there is an almost unlimited supply of effects on this unit. Thats about it to be honest.

Well I have decided that I am a single effects man from now on!! The ME-SS in my opinion is quite tricky to operate. It takes time in mastering. I find that there is not much grunt in any of the effects, especially the different distortions. You can get either a very well defined distortion, but with no real power or volume, or one with great power but very muffled. Its very tricky to get these sounding just how you want. The wah, as in all multi-effects units is pathetic. Its also a little expensive.

Although made from plastic, it is quite a sturdy unit. However its a little large for my taste.

The bottom line is, if you like weird and wacky then you might get some use out of the ME-33. However if your looking for real guitar sounds then look elsewhere.

I bought this unit for 300 bucks.

this rocks! can program different sounds from rock-jazz-country and metal.The built-in cosm guitar amp model helps in selecting
the 5 different types of amplifier you want to use.Has also autoriff,harmonizer(modeler)
for extra effects.Has a cool backlit green light LCD panel when playing in the dark.
Looks decent and proffesional.Also has a guitar simulator to select the type of guitar to use, accoustic/electric/hyper-electric (pick-ups).

I enjoy playing boss me 33,the only problem i see is that it lacks the wah power. Unlike the whammy from digitech but for this price, it is still the best deal for me.

Before I bought this unit, I was using the older model (boss me-6)bought it for $150 bucks.I was really impressed of its clear sound but didn't appreciate the distortion/overdrive effects, there was too much hisssss sound and the noise suppression was not helping much.After 3 years I was planning to buy Metal Zone MT-2
to replace me-6 but then, I also saw this boss me 33 wherein i thought it could save me a lot, because it has everything on it(OD,Metal Dist.Chorus...esp. wah).
Then, I just have decided to but me 33 coz
of it's price,looks,and sound quality.
I recommend this unit to all beginners/proffesionals and wouldn't regret of buying one.

The ME-33 is a multi-effect type pdalier; is the branch before the amp or an effects loop if possible and DIFFERENT changes are made directly on the multi-purpose. The ME-33 is low on COSM technology ("Composite Object Sound Modeling", or
"Modlisation Composite Object Sound" in French) dvelopp by Roland / BOSS. Therefore implies that the technology by mule DIFFERENT effects, amps, etc. to re-create a sound close to the original.

This includes multi-purpose all PRS is little boss effects, distortions and overdrives, compressor, phaser, flanger, equalizer bands 4 (frquence paramtrable), wah, chorus, delay ...
It also possde an amp simulation (metal, Roland JC-120, twin ...). Another possibility consists in the micro simulation. Turn your single coil pickups with humbuckers (this option is a gimmick because of a lower efficiency).

The expression pedals can rgler volume, or use it as pedals for wah, pitch bend, or moduleur of the ring.

This raises the following CRER a small effect, such as a compressor, a qualiseur, an amp simulator, delay and reverb.

In total, 30 groups of 10 banks, each bank consisting of three effects presets. With rglages factory (rebooted any time), you'll get 60 presets prpars, which is a good basis for dpart you inhale.

In addition, EZ (easy)-Tone allows you to discovering the effects typical for the country, from the hard metal or effects spciaux 7-string guitar.

Option Tuner lets you tune your guitar (very useful, because It is not necessary to unplug the jack). Mode "phrase trainer" allows you to record a segment for the Entran piece. The play, pause, stop, etc ... this segment recorded while the pdalier, which is handy. In addition, an option allows you to rduire the tempo without changing pitch (pitch).

UTILIZATION

The grip of ME-33 is plutt comfortable, especially with its instruction manual. This is the boss, so the manual is concrete. If you buy this model used (which is the case then srement BOSS stopped producing it), you arange to get the manual. Otherwise, you will not compltement lost, but you may miss bcp of useful options.

All programming is done via effects effects 6. A good-sized screen displays the effects DIFFERENT chose the title of the preset s'crit of 6 characters, impossible to be up the pole in the edition. Some buttons copy, write, and read all the options with presets.

So nothing complicated with the use. on the other hand, it will take some time to get used to the effects and poduire a sound that throws a little. We must draw on the effects and must not fiddle hsiter for hours.

SOUND QUALITY

The great default pdalier this is that when you move from one preset to another, cut a few lgre second penny is heard. Nothing really grve you tell me. But if in the middle of a song, the sound is muted when you engage your mega big sound distortion, has been less immediately. The manual mode allows some level this problem, in this mode, each CONTRL pedals do change over bank / preset, but enables / disables the effect of the chain. There is no break, except for the amp simulator. So it's a good way to enable / disable a distortion, but if you want to add distortion, remove and disable qualiseur an amp simulator, you will have to play the octopus ... So a bad point of the ct slction presets (a pdalier remains of all fawns!).

Moreover, the effects are of good quality. I warn you right away; n'esprez not get the mega distortion of the Mesa Dual Rectifier and the ME-33 is an entry-level pdalier. However, the effects are satisfactory trs. The highlight of this pdalier remains its versatility, a whole range of distortion available, the hyper saturated fuzz to the sound lgrement crunchy, a eq Settings, and wah, etc ... all remaining trs satisfactory. With an amp with good clean sound, you can take a toll!

I used this with a guitar pdalier team of EMG ESP (with adjustable gain), I got very good sounds big. It is also necessary that the receiver follows; used a Fender Princtone65 (50 Watts) is not a. on the other hand, on a Marshall 50 watt head, a good start spitting.

OVERALL OPINION

I used this pdalier for over 2 years, first with a Start (single coil pickups) and then with an ESP F-200 LTP. I t trs satisfied, especially since I play commentary. So for beginners or for someone who is not seeking to have ON prcis well, but plutt a panel of different sound (country, blues, heavy, grunge), is the id al.

In addition, the price worth it (bought approx. 400 EUR nine) especially when it is rolled beginners and not gold.

As I change my amp to make a head and a multi purpose rack, I'll sell my ME-33. With all of the same a touch of nostalgia, it served me well for many RPTES gruff!

Sincerely this pedal is very complete, and can do everything, it also models of amps (which is very nice to record songs on the PC) the sound is way trs any time ...

I have a Line6 Pod XT, of course, red beans suprieur pedalier who now has that make me redundant, but the BOSS is a good product for the beginner guitarist and guitarist average (professionals will turn to for the Line6 modeling amp, or to a G-Force or Replifex for effects)

I did a brief personal ear and it worked very well ^ ^

Sound? Difficult to note, compared to a Pod XT (on a scale of 10, the pod being 10, I would situate the Boss 6 / 7) but in terms of price quality ratio I would say 8?

OVERALL OPINION

It is a very good product, I possess 3 years, no worries.
I like the quality of its effects, what is worse is the slight break when you switch, (but I live personal uses multi-effect and no amp simulator ca ^ ^ c 'is just so good in the studio to the limit what it will be crazy ^ ^)
I test a lot of multi effect before this one, give the other can be of best quality sound in the studio (I think a Line6 / Korg3000g) thanks to more powerful amp simulation, but as an effect The BOSS seems best

If I had the choice again, I think I will not repeat them because I do not hardly ever used in my things today, I'm trs plug and play, and I play rock: p
