Everything is editable, you have to understand, but it is quite logical in the end.

UTILIZATION

It is simple to use, very very logical.

I have not needed the manual.

The sound editing is just awesome.

SOUND QUALITY

It's not super realistic, but limits the charm of the thing I like. What we find, but it's not super hot sounds.

I use it with a JAG SQUIER MASTER. A 72 telecaster.

We must be honest it colors the sound. It is not neutral.

OVERALL OPINION

For over 10 years.

Yes I had tried lots of other stuff.

I hack the sounds, I'm used to.

For the time it was overpriced, but hey I got it for € 400 approx.

I feared that something!! FAILURE!!

UTILIZATION

The edition of the sounds is very simple and logical, everything is visible on the screen, there is not even need a manual, just read, but the manual is quite clear throughout.

The only thing that may confuse some at the beginning is the programming of the expression pedal either for volume, pitch, the wah or a morphing between two effects, for example ... but it really is not very terrible and two or three attempts are enough to understand the method (which could be more detailed in the manual)!

In this regard the part dedicated to MIDI could also be more detailed, but the designers of the manual have probably think that those to whom it is addressed and who manage rack / MIDI header already know ... do damage to the newcomer in the field, it is not DigiTech which will advance!

SOUND QUALITY

Although this pedalier date of 1999, the sounds are still relevant and even better than a lot of current multi purpose! I use the loop in parallel of my head.

The clean and crunch sound are simply stunning, nothing more to add! All effects are adjustable, controllable and assignable real-time without any latency issues.

Distortions (2 types, either analog or digital) are yet a bit off from what is being done, but you still have to clarify this and put things in their place! If one does not seek to go beyond the realm of rock / heavy metal, in this case, they are still at. The crunch sounds and other overdrive / distortion (analog) are very good quality and it is only in the field of metal that is a fair bit (even if we can get a lot of things by combining the two types of distortions and playing with the equalization (or band parametric ),... recess without either the must of its kind! ... changememt a lamp can be the help that I ... probably!)

I would note is that almost nine for ten years, it is far from being exceeded, even by recent DigiTech, to stay with the same manufacturer. The effects are largely on the level of a Tonelab (I had), but with the color, however, well known and own a DigiTech (which I prefer, but not as the Tonelab is worse!)

OVERALL OPINION

I used long ago, I redeemed a recently because I always remember the quality of this machine, yet it is not lack of choice these days (I may be a little too nostalgic!). As long as you take the time to program sounds, it offers pedalier PARAMETERS editable so that we can reproduce a can ready anything! (It takes about a good half hour, knowing that his you are doing, but 30 seconds for "sound basis" so it's easy!)
If we judge the value for money when it was released, this multi purpose was a bit expensive, since it would indeed ready for 7000 francs! Today the price it sells or it is a very very good opportunity and it is even more so if like me you have a head (or amp) can give a helping hand for very large modern distortion .
