Joe-Rhys
« a very good 7-string! »
Published on 08/09/11 at 13:59South Korea is a fixed bridge, 24 frets neck all mahogany with 2 humbucker pickups Seymour Duncan SH1 in the neck and bridge in SH4.
was 1 volume and 1 tone with a 5-way switch.
UTILIZATION
the handle takes a little practice to be comfortable with, at that level, I prefer that of the Ibanez RG7-620 is much easier ...
the notes ring clear, shrinking is good you can play without the shred souscis ...
access to acute is well ... just after a certain time to adapt ...
the sound is very good!
Moreover, on this point, I have come to prefer to seymour duncan-DiMarzio so they are much more accurate ...
the sound is dynamic, the notes are accurate, the sound is warm, enough to venture into the territory of jazz ...
SOUNDS
it is well suited to my style which is very edgy rock (come on, we can say the hard-rock!).
we get all the sounds as long as one takes the trouble to try in his clear, crunch and saturated.
sure that distorted sounds, it really is nirvana, and if you're a soloist at heart, you've come, and has what it takes to meet the expectations of discerning guitarists ...
I tried a Marshall MG50 with just a little reverb to give a little more body ...
I loved everything about this guitar, so I did not hate!
OVERALL OPINION
I have played this afternoon and I can tell you that it smoothly outperforms the Ibanez RG7-620 (I mentioned above) in terms of sound ...
I tried a bunch of guitars, and indeed they should hire me to guitarist magazine or guitar part for which I tested them all guitars, basses and amps that come in the writing!
I liked everything except that it has no floyd!
I found it used less than 500 € in a store and, in my opinion, it's a bargain!
this is the 2nd 7-string that I took the time to try and it really great qualities for an instrument like this, for sure she excels at various saturations, but it can do better and venture into territories such as jazz or funk carefree, so if you try the 7-string and you are open minded blackjack this is for you!
