All user reviews for the Schecter Hellraiser S-1 Baritone

Schecter guitars are made in South Korea as indicated on the back of the head of the Scorpion Hellraiser Baritone and set (set-up) in the U.S. as indicated by a sticker on the back of the body. Schecter is the concept already old (they were in the first slot Raiter manufacturing in Korea) have manufactured with strict specifications in Korea and the U.S. via an inspection to ensure an attractive value for money. The Hellraiser series lies more in the upper mid-range electric guitars, the finish of this guitar s'apporche the quality of other brands in U.S. (at least on what is seen ...) But that the owners of Schecter C1, C7 etc. .... can confirm.

Features: 26.5 inch Scale is that of a semi-baritone as Drop6 Yamaha (one-half octave below a standard handle, a true baritone has a pitch of 28 "), 24 jumbo frets size and well laid Finished to a quick game, and two active EMG 81 bridge and 85 neck. Mahogany body, set neck 3-piece mahogany with rosewood fingerboard with inlay of semi-Gothic Cross abalone. No binding on the neck, but around the body in abalone.

The bridge is Gibson style tone pro with the strings through the body. A volume knob for each pickup to a subtle adjustment between 81 and 85, and a tone knob. 3-position switch (81/81-85/85) adapted to the fact that lezs 81 and 85 and split are not.

UTILIZATION

No problem with the handle that although the guitar is modeled after a Gibson doublecut does not include the type. Easy to play. The string action is set very low, at least possible. (On my Yamaha Drop 6, against the action was set too high by the factory). The double cutaway and cutting the heel allow easy access to the latest keys (but not comparable to a GS anyway). The guitar is not too light nor too heavy and the body cuts the edges of the back light that enhances the usability compared to traditional Formex Gibson.
For sound: mahogany tone pro, through-string, EMG 81/85, tune to 26.5 "for tuning in SI, 11-64 strings, it gives anything to you? Obviously the heavy and dark adapted style of music for which this guitar was studied. The Mahogany certainly plays a role in the impression of warm, deep sound (especially compared to my Yamaha Drop 6 with EMG pickups, which is alder with maple neck).

SOUNDS

We choose this kind of guitar with a specific goal, that of having an easy to use guitar tuning for metal adapted to the abyssal crazy. With this guitar you will not be disappointed and look completely black, fully consistent with sound that can come out clear that both saturated. If the configuration of the microphones is far from original for metal, it is well adapted to the distorted sounds of a semi-baritone thanks to the definition of EMG. As the body is mahogany, with a handle 60 can provide a report with the cooler 85. 81 in the bridge is a good choice especially as mahogany and tuning in a little temper if its rendering traditional cold (while useful for cutting leads).

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for 3 months and I will update my opinion. This guitar seems really suited to the musical register. With time and small settings everything is now perfect. Models of semi baritone electric guitar are few and rarer in stock which makes them difficult to try. The value for money as the other models Schecter is amazing. The only problem is it's hard to get one (eight months waiting for mine thanks to the excellent policy of the exporter U.S.).
In Conlusion, a good guitar tunings for low, very effective in kind (provision for monitoring equipment behind) and not to choose as the first guitar because it is Vreyer very strongly featured. A great guitar to summarize and model pitch standard should not be bad either.
