All user reviews for the Millenium MPS-400

I got this excellent kit in 2014 as I had a really cheap kit (all mono pads) before that.
The first thing I did was to convert to mesh heads, just like the cheap kit..

This is a simple conversion, the end result I now have a much quieter kit with a better response and its lighter as well as u dont have the steel plates to cramp your style.

Then I changed the snare pad for a larger 10" Alesis Real drum module.
So it's even better.
The cymbals are dual zone and the hi hat has 3 modes: Open/closed an of course that "chip" sound.
The kit now sounds great, its got plenty of sounds and the ability to change the parameters.
Its very versatile. I mainly use it for practicing new songs. Ready for playing in my local praise band..

After 6 years of playing it, I now use a Roland TD-8 drum module, with this excellent kit..........

- How long have you use it?

It's been a few weeks, carefree but I fear for the quality of toms that are just a stretched plastic skin ... in any case the warranty is 3 years (Thomann) so it is possible to play in If a problem. Eventually I will replace all the pads with mesh.

- What is the particular feature you like best and least?

I tried the Roland HD-1 that I have quickly forgotten as it is for beginners, I tried the Yamaha DTXplorer: more expensive, the pads are better but there is no bi area, no connection to the usb ... about the quality of the module I have not able to test long enough to judge ... it looked slightly better air.

- How would you rate the quality / price?

Simply excellent, purchased with headphone, stool and two pairs of chopsticks to 485 € at Thomann, this is a boon for small budgets.

- With experience, you do again this choice?

I would say yes given the price. After he is sure that if the Yamaha which the pads and the module are a little better quality but that has not possibilities bi-zone, the hi-hat was a little over budget can prefer is a pad, too. Update 22/04/10: more than a year I had the time to break the Charleston, the skins are softened, thus providing less rebound. I use a lot by connecting computer and reworking everything to someone else. The choice is simple: This drumkit is for a term court investment (if one has an acoustic door but on which we can not play often, for example), but if it is to invest in real e put € 300 more in a DT-Explorer that will be well upgradable or so save directly to Roland or DDrums. The MPS-400 does not really interest in being upgraded (right module for the price but quickly exceeded) and will be difficult resalable.

most: practical, simple to use

Cons: fragile (I broke the pedals playing normally in November, one playing the cymbals a little strong in February and finally some cracks begin appearing in the snare)

no, just acoustic drums

trs good batteries for the price, perfect for beginners!

No, I would opt for a stronger drumkit

I use this drumkit for 2 years now.

I tried a few models from Roland but I wanted an electronic drum kit too expensive.
And this drumkit is pretty damn good and so affordable ...

What I like most:
_facile to install (you mount it then you play in 5min)
_facile use

What I like least:
_the rebound drums
_the strength
_the sound ... : (

After I knew what to expect when I bought this product (millenium. ..) but I bought it because I also have a drumkit of very good quality sound.
So if you do not have the opportunity to play on good set (electronic or acoustic) I advise you to wait and save some more for you to buy better gear.
It's not a super drumkit, but it is not bad either, the price / quality ratio is good.

I think even with hindsight I REFERRED that choice because it is cool when even this small mps 400
