Millenium Mesh Head / TD-6 Set

My opinion on the Millennium Pro Mesh Head / TD-6 Set,
which includes a stand Millennium, three toms and a 10''12''cc millennium.
The module is the Roland TD6, the GC and cymbals are also brand Roland.
Finally for Charley: The VH-11 (Roland always) that mounts on a real foot.

- How long have you use it?
I received this week, so these are my first impressions.

- What is so special that you like most and least?
The best: the feeling of playing on a acoustic, many possible settings,
The VH-11. And aesthetics of all that takes a max (which has nothing to do with the photo above).
Least for now I can not play rimshot on the toms and snare, you have to fix everything in the module, not have much time.

- How would you rate the quality / price?
Very good: it is a mid-range prices for the VH-11, meshed skin and TD6 or a more than adequate.
I think it is better to choose this solution to change the left trigger the snare drum for example, rather than to add € 400 for the td6KX.

My drumkit is not the Roland TD-6KV original as it was modified by me. I started on drums for several months has always preferred the guitar a few years now. However, this description of personal kit will hopefully some ideas to upgrade and improve existing low-cost kits.
First, I went to an offer proposed by the now famous German site Thomann, namely MILLENNIUM PRO MESH model HEAD / TD-6 SET € 1333 with a 3-year warranty.

This is originally composed of the following on the basis of TD-6KV:

This version is an excellent deal in terms of price compared to full models with Roland pads rubber (very good also but without the bounce and feel of a true mesh head) because it is a good springboard to more elaborate arrangements for those who can not afford the kits ultimate TD-20 (sigh ...).

The main advantage of this kit is the aesthetic: you really seem like work on a real acoustic kit drums through 12''and 10''deep enough Millennium. Skin mesh are of good quality and can be easily changed with models V-Drum Roland brand. Everything is adjustable on the drums as real (skin tension).

A module that has been proven: the Roland TD6. Lots of choices even when using only 3 or 4 kits eventually proposed the 100. Everything is configurable to infinity and, above all the desire and if that still does not fit, simply connect the module to the Roland PC with a sound card, preferably external, and that's it. Samplers as drumkit will give you access to more sophisticated configurations.

Regarding the hi-hat, it is the Roland VH-11 model that is placed on an equal standard of Charley: I have chosen a Gibraltar 9607 for its many settings drawing, the quality and reputation of the manufacturer . With this hi-hat, we really feel like playing on a "real". The feeling is there and the action of a real pedal has much to do. Certainly, the nuances are not possible because the module should be replaced by a model TD-12 TD-or ideally 20 (but not for every budget ... shame) but it's enough to take his foot (this is the case to say ...).

All models are cymbals Roland (2 CY-8 crash in home, in a CY-5 Splash / China and a ride in CY-15 added to the original kit). They are relatively strong and do not seem to suffer the blows of their sticks I Assen. I hope this old rubber well and not too white to use as they are the components that are the most expensive on this kit. The sensations are very good especially with the CY-15 which is similar in size cymbal sound. All effects are known (choking, striking intensity, movement, ...).

The rack mount is a brand Dixon and comes with the necessary clamps. I have expanded with the addition of an aluminum bar of the same brand and Roland MDH-10 clamps to mount toms Thomann two new 12''to act as a low-toms (or even on congas configurations different from my sound module).

Finally, the addition of the module Roland TMC-6 Trigger inputs for its additional locations needed to make the original kit. Clarification concerning the CY-15, it works great in 3 areas with TMC-6 (configuration bell / edge / top) according to the manual provided and some settings are easy to make.

I complement this notice as and when my musical experiments in this kit.
