UTILIZATION

Exactly what I wanted: to drive a front bi-amp that will evolve perhaps one day sort, this filter is done for me! a button to the crossover frequency, for a gain of each band ... I'm happy with that.

SOUND QUALITY

A button that is too is the "CD_machin_eq": it is the acute between 2KHz and 5KHz and burnt me all my tweeters in one evening, since I do not touch it and the sound is still good!

OVERALL OPINION

2 years, to say nothing, I repeat the same if I steal it (because I do not think it fails, it looks solid)

UTILIZATION

The manual is very complete and use is very simple.
One button per function.
A little less for the spin to make the switch cutoff frequency can be multiplied by 10.
It's a little complicated to configure and switch is placed at the back of the rack.

SOUND QUALITY

Transparent for my taste but I guess the pros could find fault

OVERALL OPINION

Used for about a year.

I was looking for a complete crossover and I realized that in the entry level, the Samson is clearly the most comprehensive.
Those who want a little better can probably take fameaux Behringer DCX2496 digital filter.
Otherwise, less complete but more upscale, the DBX is really good too.

Crossover 3-way stereo or 4 mono channels + subwoofer output.
Switchable 2-way Stereo / 3 Way Stereo / Mono 4-way.

CHANNEL 1 & 2:
• Input Gain, Delay 0 to 2 ms, 2 regulation of cuts per channel (Frequency converter and can not interbreed)
• Gain + / - 6dB for high and low frequencies, mute per band for personal monitoring.
• VU meters for input signal and limiter activity.

SUB OUT:
• Gain control + / - 6dB, Mute button, cuts adjustable from 0 to 250 Hz

General:
• Limiter on / off switch with adjustable threshold, correction preset constant directivity horns.
• Input / Output Jack and XLR balanced.
Mm • Dimensions: 45 x 483 x 217.
• Weight: 3 kg.

Within a product that works very very well, no problem of phase (This is the Linkwitz-Riley 24 dB / Octave).
The crossover frequency chioisit do not move after hours of operation.
It has a very good offense (some filters on the tendency to become soft)

I think one of the few entry-level active filter works really well (after the attack must RANE a minimum 1100 euros).
