What characteristics have motivated your choice?

Ability to record 8 tracks simultaneously.
2 with phantom power (XLR).
Firewire port.
I use it to save my battery once or to add effects live.

I have a small PC config: ASUS AMD Turion64 1.6 GHz A6Km 2GB RAM
Used either directly or coupled with a table ALESIS Multimix 12
I would put that 9 because I would have liked a little on / off switch, I am not too fan to switch off appliances at the wild live on taking ... But we must not forget that it is a rack version also ...

UTILIZATION

Trouble free installation on a PC.
Installation of drivers, manual effectively.
After that, you plug and presto!

GETTING STARTED

In terms of drivers too many problems, although it happened to me during a concert (a concert) to lose the connection between the rack and Cubase SX rather annoying right?

I also opted for a new driver more accurate in terms of latency than that provided original but slightly less stable I think ...

I shoot with a latency between 4 and 7 ms (at worst).
I still have that recorded eight tracks simultaneously, I have not needed more for in home studio is used as a motu for my group.

OVERALL OPINION

I've had 1 year and a half.
The best with this rack that's simple, you plug, turn the knobs is disconnected ... etc
The least that the top plate that vibrates with the bass or transportation is a bit boring.
Before buying this rack, I used my table is either the mkII Motu our home studio.
Level quality / price is nothing to say pretty good.
I think I would do this election if the opportunity presented itself.
