«  ram's head clone »

Published on 05/13/11 at 21:56
Best value: Excellent
fuzz / distortion analog based on a ram's head big muff

UTILIZATION

The config is simple, it follows that of the big muff, volume, tone, sustain.
Suffice to say we did not need mauel to use it, and found sounds very easily.

SOUND QUALITY

We find the typical sound of the big muff, very thick, very powerful in the bass, and creamy.
It was obviously very heavily distorted sounds, but also sounds with less drive that sound really great (which is not always the case with the U.S. Big Muff), the overall sound is warm, rich and creamy but well-articulated and with a bit more bite than the "big muff style ram's head) I've tried.
The pedal is excellent both in rhythm than lead.

OVERALL OPINION

I already tried quite a big muff clone ... and I kept the electronic orange sign ... I love this pedal and what it at least as good as other brands, however well more expensive (Ceratina models costing twice as close, and yet ...).
In short, it's a very good value for money.
I would do exactly the same choice and it makes me a very good second ram's head big muff alongside the SUF VRH
