As announced, Ableton Live 9 is now available and you can pre-order the Push controller for shipping in a couple of weeks.
If you still have doubts about upgrading to Ableton Live 9, it includes the Audio2Note algorithm developed by the french acoustic institute IRCAM, that allow for automatically translating polyphonic music into MIDI.
Another reason is that version 9 can be controlled by Push.
