The Bitwig team announced that version 1.0 of their Bitwig Studio DAW for Mac, Windows and Linux will be released next March 26th, after two years of beta testing and developing.
Bitwig Studio will include more than 50 virtual instruments and effects called Devices, as well as Containers for instrument or effect chains. You will also be able to complete the collection with your own VST 32/64-bit plug-ins (a bridge will be available). A large sound collection will also be on the menu, with synthetic and acoustic drums, keyboards, basses, loops and more.
Bitwig Studio will feature its own time stretching technology, as well as a modulation matrix, an automatic sample slicers for the sampler and the drum machine, and an API will allow for creating and customizing features for any MIDI controller.
The Bitwig Studio price will be $399 / 299€ for the download option or $399.99 MAP / 329€ for the boxed version. A trial version will also be available at lauching.
