The installation is done it without problems?

As usual, no worries for installation. It takes about 1 / 4 h and smoothly.

The general configuration is easy?

The software takes care of everything during the first startup. A window appears with all parameters related to external devices (audio, midi, backup directories, etc.).

Have you experienced any incompatibilities?

None. In audio I use a Lexicon Alpha and twelve one MOTU MICRO EXPRESS, all on USB. No worries.

The manual is clear and sufficient?

In fact, I think the real big black dot in this series ... the manual is not enough développpé, particularly on the part noon ... why I put 8

SUITABILITY/PERFORMANCE

What is the configuration of your computer? (Motherboard / CPU / Ram / Disk / sound card ..)

CoreDuo 2 to 2.13 GHz / 2 GB RAM / 80 GB HD + 320 GB external. Now that's a configuration rather small but ample for this app. Besides, if you look at the system requirements to run Samplitude 11 you will see that it is not helpful to have a beast of war that turns!

The software works he correctly on this configuration?

RAS

This software + hardware is stable?

RAS

What performance? (If quantifiable)

Near-zero latency. Using the jog is no problem, just like the rewind during playback, even with numerous audio / midi.

OVERALL OPINION

For how long have you been using it?

It has been 5 years since I use this series as well say that I'm not about to let go ...

Did you try many other models before getting this one?

AUDACITY, Cubase SX, Protools LE, ... no picture ...

What thing do you like most/least about it?

+ Everything is there at your fingertips, recording (audio and midi sync), mixing, editing, mastering and burning.
+ Simple (but not simplistic!), Intuitive
+ Stable
+ Audio quality of treatment and after effects (mixing and mastering)
+ Quality virtual instruments provided

- The manual a bit light
- Some of the graphic icons which is a little gadget, even if the user interface is now the same as Samplitude 11

What is your opinion about the value for the price?

Improbable though it were a software product from Steinberg or Digidesign ... without laughing, such a quality for less than 60 € ...

Knowing what you know now, would you make the same choice?

Undoubtedly, for the price I have a complete suite for music production. I will maybe upgrade to Samplitude 11 ... I saw that if I did that since the app, I won € 100 on the price of SAM 11!
