The install is as it were the most simplicissima. No incompatibilities with a host of diverse and varied programs of all brands and all Obedia. For the config ', Steinberg (pronounced as in Shtaillenebèrgue Derrick is German) has chosen the professional, so it's best to bring the manual to take full advantage of the wealth of the software. That said if you like me experienced the pangs of noon in Protools you should get out ... The manual is in French generally well done although it is regrettable that the publisher of partition (factory gauze) available only in English.

SUITABILITY/PERFORMANCE

PC, Gigabyte 7N400 PRO2, Athlon XP 2600 +, 1GB of RAM, MIA Midi pending Lexicon Omega Studio makes his work with the ASIO drivers in Cubase. FLOW, no latency in midi or audio recording slowed down, but the processor a bit with some plug ins (like the Verb Room M2). 5ms latency in midi audio and virtually zero, happiness. If you walk in XP, the system turns out to be a model of stability!

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for 1 year (SX and SX 2). I love the score editor, the combination midi sequencer + partition editor is quite efficient. The program lacks some intuitiveness, again: always have the manual handy! I worked on Protools (audio not great in terrible noon) and Acid or Sound Forge. The advantage of Cubase is that if he did not bénificie the inimitable Protools audio engine that is superior to other products néanmmoins I quoted and, in addition to any self-respecting composer to work with midi a virtual eye on the beats and another on the partoches is simply an absolute luxury! I'm really happy to work with, no complaints.
