Roland VS-2000 - Won't erase projects - HELP!

I recently purchased a Roland VS-2000 on eBay. It works great and I have no complaints, but I just can't get it to erase projects from the hard drive. When I tell it to erase it asks all the questions and gives me the warnings like it should and I say yes, but when I go back out to the project list... there they are!

The only thing I can figure is that maybe I need to re-format the drive? Anyone else encountered this problem?
