Poping and clicking on audio recording
Can anyone help me with this problem?
I am using adobe audition 1.5 and I am having random popping and clicking sounds on the playback from the computer after recording. Even after I eliminate the popping sounds they come back on the next play back in new places.
Does anyone know whats wrong?
This is usually a timing/resource issude with your soundcard. What is your system setup?

I am just using a Dell laptop. I have been recording out of the headphones jack on my keyboard into my mic line in on my computer with a mini cable. It is just a standard soundcard that comes with the computer. When I play the recording back, there is popping in the audio. The popping is always in different places, so it is not in the recording itself. I have no idea what the problem is. Any ideas? Thanks.
Make sure your soundcard isn't sharing any IRQ's with anything else.

Although you say it's not the recording, if you're recording from a headphone output to a mic input, you have a pretty significant impedence mismatch. That'll overload your soundcard input, which will also sound like popping and crackling.
