Hi, i was wondering if some of you guys could give me a hand, i just bought a Behringer UB1204-FX-PRO mixer to record with. Is this a good choice??

I also have a Sony Minidisc Deck to record onto plus a Dell Optoplex PC. I will be using the on board effects of the mixer and i will record vocals using a Dynamic Cardioid Microphone..

Any help and advice is appreciated

Also, has anyone ever heard of something caled stem splitting?! I think it means you take one mix and split it into it's separate tracks or something!
