Gibson unveils its 2014 Collection

Gibson will celebrate in 2014 its 120th Anniversary with no less than 28 new electric guitars and basses.

We won’t detail here each of the 28 new models that will be launched in 2014, for they are not officially available on the Gibson website yet, but we can talk about the new features you’ll find on these instruments, starting with new Satin and Gloss finishes with very original names, such as Ocean Water, Tranquility Blue Burst, Peaceful Orange, Harmonious Sunset, Mellow Out Green, Plum Insane Fade or Chocolate Satin.

Gibson will also debut on these models four new pickups, including the P-90H Sidewinder, a new 1-piece fingerboard design and will inlay a pearl 120th Anniversary logo at the 12th fret.

The brand changed on the 2014 collection the strap button, control knobs and the numbering system.

Note that some of the instruments will be equipped with the Min-ETune automatic tuning system.
