UTILIZATION

I took the head for an hour with the record "gnrique" for DEQ224, DEQ230 (D) and DEQ830 not got my trs clear, even while flying ENVIS has does not read the manual. But After a few manipulations, I made it. Once we found the trick is navigating ass quickly, intuitively.

SOUND QUALITY

For such a small rack, even if a qualiser is my first, I bleuff share the quality of audio processing it can do. SOUND QUALITY

The rsultats gniaux are mainly used adat and insert on a console numrique (yamaha 01v96v2 for me) .. The analog inputs / outputs, I will not speculate because I do not use it so!! Be careful because you can boost / cut up to 24dB per band conditions (see manual!)

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for some time and trs double Input / output (jacks symtriques trs + adat is nice ..... The only thing missing is an input / output World clock ... Too bad!!
The report qualitprix is excellent (even better opportunity if you dgoter one, I got it for half price!) Above the bbte is still unavailable in France

Super convenient!

SOUND QUALITY

The sound is good.

I use only full digital (ADAT in - ADAT out)

I use an insert on some tracks when I found that the EQ on the DM1000 are a bit 'short'. Or release "Monitor" (returns) ...

I also bought an analog EQ Apex DBQ-Zero.
This last "sounds" better, and the settings are much more effective and "sharp" (true "Constnat Q"), but the Alesis is not ridiculous.

What worries me a bit to Live is sync via ADAT. I trust moyennemant ... In addition, the sound, while not bad, not at a Klark Apex or ...
I will not use the Alesis a facade, but hey, in return ...
(And it does not seem to introduce too much latency.)

What I particularly like is its practicality: 1U 8 EQ 30 bands!
+ Recording (and consolidation). Really great!

Small "flat" made gaffe, it's getting hot! Provide good air it.

A remake, for that price? When you want!
Update 14/09/2010:

Yesterday I had a weird phenomenon: By changing the ADAT input connectors (for move first by using the Finalizer-2 channels in and out "Through" - then by the DEQ) while everything was lit, I "lost" 2 channels. Everything else works except these 2 there. Bizarre!
I cut the DEQ with the switch on the front, tried other cables etc.. Nothing to do. Then I cut the power supply altogether. Everything is back to normal.
I was scared! Conclusion: Do NOT change the input power connections. No risk of breakage, but to "crash" yes ...
