SOUND QUALITY

I bought it after watching the video presentation boss. Important, he couples with pedals that have low (like bassman). This pedal does not under dépaissir sound, not at all ... It brings a lot of medium, that sounds a little corner corner the duckling with the character knob, but no low ... So distrust.

The effect is transparent only if you turn the knob to zero character, otherwise it colors the sound to death. As against this famous knob brings gain supplement. So if you want to boost your gain with this machine it will be with the addition of medium.

The use that I actually, I boost my bb preamp with a strat in the neck position, it allows me to have a sound sharper and more the boost volume and gain, it brings out the side slamming the strat. Why it is very efficient.

The Feedbacker not used much. When you release the effect it makes a weird noise, a little crappy even that leaves hear that it is not at all a natural feedback, but it is quite nice otherwise.

OVERALL OPINION

Not bad, but limited.

UTILIZATION

Its use is quite simple, as long as some attention a minimum.
The level is the amount or volume boost that you will inject the next signal the location of the pedal. Before distortion or overdrive for example, will boost the gain; after volume. The feedback is used to manage the amount of feedback, still pressing the pedal, whether on or off.
Tone, tone (easy!) and finally character character: where it gets interesting because you can boost or neutral way, with a flat or midrange EQ then to pierce the mix during a solo for example.

SOUND QUALITY

So the presence of a buffer, not a true bypass discouraged me a little at first because the buffets at Boss are quite uneven. Some literally eat up the high frequency, but in this case it is very light. The rendering is very musical, very lyrical.
So your basic sound is very slightly modified, removing the thin veil of acute enough to clean high frequencies. In my case it suits me.
The sound quality is difficult to describe, because this pedal does not produce sound, it boosts your so if your sound is beautiful, it will remain so.

OVERALL OPINION

In summary, this is a great boost, with a function feedbacker bonus.
This pedal will be discreet if you wish or be able to send you a healthy dose of mediums. Placed before an overdrive type TS9 we get a sound much more hard in winning without his reach metallesques, large hard rock if your microphones follow.
I do not regret my purchase, even if the feedback function leaves me skeptical, I do not use it so ..

Booster and Feedbacker (simulator feedback, straw!) In a very simple compact pedal configuration: input, output and optional 9V power.
As usual with Boss, construction is exemplary.

UTILIZATION

Configuration is very simple, the almost useless manual. The first potentiometer manages the volume booster, arranged upstream of it will act on the preamp gain, the loop placed in or after the saturation effect will act on the volume. The second potentiometer "Feedback" manages the volume of the feedback generated by the pedal, personally I leave at 12 o'clock to make it as natural as possible. The third knob "Tone" to manage the tone provided by the booster, it is combined with the 4th giving 3 "presets" for optimal use.

SOUND QUALITY

I use this pedal for a very transparent boost, so I always play with the setting "flat" and the tone at 12pm. Either in a Orange Rockerverb or in a vox AC4TV, it allows to fully respect the original sound of the amp and guitar, just adding volume. Other settings (mid boost, mid cut etc. ..) are also interesting but I prefer my other overdrive for "typed" sounds.
It can also be placed in the loop to have effect of a boost and a volume Equalizer in a single pedal, very useful for drilling in the mix in a solo!
On the feedback, I am a little mixed ... On a single note the effect takes time to come, however in agreement is better. The effect seem a little bit artificial when playing alone, but group setting with drums and bass that send behind this is perfect, we believe it!

OVERALL OPINION

I use it for a month, I hesitated with the MXR Micro amp but the feedback function has convinced me.
The value for money is good in the sense that it is almost the only feedbacker on the market, except the old Boss DF-2 is no longer produced (and not allowed to have feedback without the distortion of the pedal.). But if only the Booster function you want, I think we can find both for less.
I remake this choice without hesitation because of feedback have "musical" and decent volume is really appreciated!

SOUND QUALITY

this is nice but it does what?
the boost: to adjust the level to enhance the sound, especially in the light and make cruncher severe character when the button is above 9 am, this is really great and effective
on the other hand if the pedal before the amp is in saturated mode, this will make you pass a long long long sustain but you do not take decibel, it is better to put it in the loop of the amp.
Feedback: when you let her foot on the feedback, we either single note or chord, feedback happens pretty effective
It is truly addictive, no need to put the amp to a level that will make you expel the area and approaching the guitar HP for random feedback (I've only seen zappa Bercy master of this so divine)
Feedbacker with the feedback is always very musical amp very low and mostly controllable, it is really great.
the tone: good design need not I already said
the character: it turns your boost (increase level) in almost musical overdrive beautifully as that makes this pedal off the lot.
Icing on the cake, there is a way to set the pedal to what goes into standby if no signal for 10 hours tickling, wholesale good when you forget to unplug the pedal it will go off alone, see how it is Malignant! (this mode is disabled)

OVERALL OPINION

I've had 3 months, it is a complement to my addictive nova system has yet a boost but really basic.
In conclusion:
Say the least as old "it rocks too serious"

most: sounds excellent pedal really well designed Feedbacker really addictive and controllable, does its job and more.

Cons: I do not see, what should be work with solar energy but hey it is not.
Value for money, given the soaring prices of pedals, it's really great
I redeem without hesitation except that 2 is not really useful unless I bought it
