I put an electric guitar, acoustic guitar and bass ... amazing, three instruments of different sizes, shapes and weights take this stand. Maximum security for my 3 guitars. Yay! I feel good. For transportation, this stand will fold easily and holds its own standing 3 feet (it helps).
I used this stand for 2 years, and again (especially) in concert. The perfect object.
