Stagg STB-10 UE

I bought this bag for universal electric guitar a few months after my first guitar (Whale WPSL-ST) to replace a bag of poor quality which had been sold with it.

The interior includes a soft nylon padding 10 mm thick, and internal reinforcements provide protection of the strings, the bridge and lower Straplock guitar.
The cover opens to 90 degrees in the same manner as a holster, which gives more comfort to accommodate an instrument.

Externally, the canvas is covered with a thick nylon plastic which gives it a somewhat "rigid" and thus more resistant to shocks from other covers that can be found in the same price range. But it's still nowhere near the level of protection of a guitar case recess.

There are two pockets:

- 1 large with a small bellows which provides storage partitions with Jack cords and a strap for example,

- A girl who is quite roomy for storing a tuner or a small digital metronome with additional small accessories like a box of picks and plugs hearing protection.

It was also entitled to a strong handle lined which makes handling very comfortable, and 3 blocks in hard plastic slip (one downstairs and two others on the right side opposite to the opening of the cover) for maintain the guitar standing on the ground or on the side while protecting nylon any friction with the ground.

And finally the most surprising: 2 straps in a "bag-to-back" that can be masked using the 2 flaps zippables.
No risk to drag the ground straps during transport by the handle like that.

Another advantage with this cover is that it is relatively impermeable to allow a crossing in the rain without the humidity reaches the device it contains. Provided, of course, does not remain fixed at 3 weights discovered under a heavy downpour either and do not wait 1 hour to get out the guitar on the cover while it dry naturally ...

Regarding the disadvantages now, when is T-shirt that is worn on the back cover you can feel the head of the zipper pocket folding straps down the back! This obviously reduces the comfort ...
But I am clear that this problem is that T-shirt or shirt. With a jacket is as if nothing had happened.

Much more annoying this time, nylon was eventually wear on the straps after 6 years of use ...
it started with the plastic coating that has torn at the seams because of the friction of the straps on clothing at the time of the cover on the back.
So far it's not serious. It's not very decorative, but it will not fall so far the guitar back.
It has become much more problematic when it happened at a lower seam that holds a strap to the cover ...

It is repairable but the plastic coating does not facilitate the mending ... : /

Well, I do not mean to kill him because I'm level rating may be partly responsible for its present unintentionally (straps too tight) and then she has lived this cover in 6 years! She followed my travels with my guitar and I made many (repeated in a mate or locally 1-4 times a month, guitar lessons for a few weeks ...) and outside straps, this case is still in excellent condition!
So ultimately, I'll put more on my back but continue to use it to store one of my guitars and eventually transported using the handle.

Do I do it again this election? I do not know ... I know Stagg dropped the plastic coating on the new models in favor of a highly resistant quilted nylon. I let myself maybe try again because the price / quality ratio is good and we must admit that this cover does have its qualities (good cushioning and good impermeability, appearance slightly rigid, 90 ° opening, clever storage straps, habitable enough pockets ...) but I'll still take a look at the competition before I decide.
