« Too quiet »
Published on 04/04/11 at 08:09Chorus pedal digital speed settings / mix / volume, true bypass, power supply via 9V battery or AC adapter (center negative).
Nothing very original, except that it is a little larger than a classic Hammond B format.
Rating: 8 - There's the right thing, but a tad too wide for my taste.
UTILIZATION
Very simple to perform, the knobs are hard enough not to move easily without being too difficult to turn. All looks solid.
Rating: 10 - no complaints.
SOUND QUALITY
This is where the pedal fishing. Not that it is bad, but the chorus is VERY quiet.
Although I am not a crazy effects I should turn the mix at 100% to have a chorus that get along. The effect is a bit more metal, but still enjoyable.
When bypassed, no deterioration of sound. When activated, no change in volume.
Rating: 5 - I need a great setting for the desired effect almost
OVERALL OPINION
I have this past few weeks now. I bought it without trying it at a price defying any competition.
If construction is close to flawless (if not its width) the effect is much too discreet to be able to stay on my pedalboard. Not that it's bad, just not enough.
Final score: 6 - I'll keep this pedal in backup or B-rig for electroacoustic.
