    OVERALL OPINION

    6 months of use
    test a lot of chorus: it crushes boss, Jack and consort you in your high-end rev ... the advantage of the pedals is that you do not spare that with great regret
    This is despite the price! I do not really regret the money spent ... I dj the compressor of the brand that is the template and I get enough keeley Fidler products Diamond ... Long live Canada
    if you think: long-term investment ... not do it

    Diamond Pedals Halo ChorusPublished on 01/31/10 at 21:48
    The Diamond Pedals Halo Chorus is a unique chorus pedal suitable for use with any electronic instrument.  I've used the pedal only with electric guitar, so this review will be based on use of this pedal with this instrument only, which I would think is what most people are using this pedal with anyway.  The pedal has stereo 1/4" inputs and outputs, as well as a 1/4" output for an expression pedal, which is something that I've never hooked up to this pedal.  This isn't rackable as it is a stomp box controlled by your foot.

    UTILIZATION

    Users of the Diamond Pedals Halo Chorus shouldn't have any problems using it, as everything is pretty straight forward here.  For parameters, you've got chorus depth, speed, phase modulation mix, and chorus mix.  If used, an expression pedal can also control delay time and LFO.  After playing with the pedal for a short while I was able to understand the pedal fairly well, so I can't imagine too many people having difficulties understanding it.  I've never had a need to look at the manual for the Hal Chorus pedal.

    SOUND QUALITY

    The sounds that are possible with the Diamond Pedals Halo Chorus go way beyond just your standard chorus sounds.  It also has delay and phase like tones, the combination of which makes for an awesome sounding modulation pedal.  While it is certainly possible to get traditional sounding chorus tones, I think that this pedal makes its living on its unique tones, as this sounds unlike most pedals that I've used out there.  I've used the Halo Chorus with a Fender Telecaster and a '65 Fender Deluxe Reverb, so I definitely got an accurate read on what the pedal truly sounds like, and let me tell you that you can really get some interesting sounds with this one.  This isn't to discredit the more traditional chorus tones that are possible, as they are extremely clean sounding as well...

    OVERALL OPINION

    While more expensive than most chorus pedals out there, Diamond Pedals Halo Chorus isn't your typically chorus pedal at all.  It has unique parameters and unique sounds to match, as well as more traditional ones.  The pedal is built extremely well and is one that should last a long time if treated properly.  If you're looking only to get some standard chorus tones, this can do that for sure but I would probably recommend looking elsewhere as there are plenty of cheaper options out there that don't have all the bells, whistles, and versatility that the Halo Chorus does.

    Diamond Pedals Halo ChorusPublished on 08/09/08 at 22:02
    This is primarily a chorus effect, which is created out of phase and pitch modulation with some delay thrown in.
    This is 100% analog wetness, so no editing via computer, but their is some good old-fashioned knob turning and switch flicking which includes 4 exterior knobs and 2 internal switches.
    EXT Depth/Speed/Pitch Mod. Mix/Chorus Mix
    INT LFO Waveform/Delay
    This is audio connection only.
    It has three in/out configurations-
    Mono-->Mono
    Mono-->Stereo
    Stereo-->Stereo
    No, it is not rackable in the traditional sense.

    UTILIZATION

    The config. and setup are extremely easy, the beauty off all analog stuff.

    The external is obviously easy and quick, but the inside I have not even messed with. I am just uneasy about opening up something that already sounds so good.

    SOUND QUALITY

    This is the best chorus pedal I have ever heard. The analog man chorus is really is awesome, but like the olympics, when you have things this good, one is only a little better than the other. In this case its the Diamond. This is a guitar effect, but I use this on both guitars and my Fender Rhodes. I even used this in the studio on my recent album for vocals, bass, and background ambience/samples. Very versatile!

    OVERALL OPINION

    I have had this pedal for 1 year. The best thing about this pedal is the amazing creamy/watery tones you can get out of it. My only complaint besides the two internal switches not being external (not that big of a deal really) is the very loose fitting of the ac plug's cable into the back of the pedal. It has been pulled out twice during gigs causing me to lose my signal.... kinda lame. I owned a boss super chorus first, and a line 6 pod also, which neither of these compared (not even close). But I did my research on this pedal and found reviews and audio samples and tried a few other high end pedals. This was indeed the sweetest. This is not a cheap pedal ( around $320 ) but it is worth every penny. I would indeed buy this pedal again and again and again if I need to.
