« Perfect. »
Published on 04/29/13 at 04:51Analog compressor; reissue of the original 1976 model.
UTILIZATION
Two buttons: a volume control and adjustment of the compression intensity.
Easier, it is not possible!
SOUND QUALITY
Great effect.
OVERALL OPINION
This reissue is perfect. Moving immediately the false problem of the lack of socket for external power supply: in the 70s, the pedals are powered by battery, period!
Besides the effect of compression itself, efficiency and exceptional musicality, this pedal offers incredible sustain. Coupled with an overdrive or distortion, one can easily get an infinite sustain with a guitar equipped with humbucking pickups.
Note that the Dyna Comp appreciate to place before distos.
With a Big Muff, the couple provides a very similar to that of Robert Fripp of King Crimson history (71-75) sound.
On clean sounds, it magnifies the modulations and does wonders associated with a good chorus and a delay.
A great success!
