Published on 01/13/14 at 10:19This is a Boost / Compressor pedal very good. Very strong pedal with metal case look great.
2 effects 1: What's all good. For digital, it's a great pedal.
UTILIZATION
Very simple and effective settings. 3 knobs settings:
- One for volume (output)
- A level boost
- A knob for compression level
It has a small 3-position switch to select the boost level:
Treble-
Middle-
-Flat
The pedal is designed with 2 bright LEDs to indicate the effects enabled.
About the manual or another, I've never used, I prefer to discover the effects and intensity knobs to exploit all possibilities.
SOUND QUALITY
With the boost, very versatile sound is obtained. The settings are very effective although I think the Suhr Kokoboost has a slightly deeper level.
The compressor is relatively good, for compressors compared with premium brands, it holds the road without being over the lot.On gets much more punchy sound.
To obtain the the Mark Knoffler clear sound is perfect. Even distortion, it has a relatively interesting role. I think this is one that really comes with a strat.
OVERALL OPINION
Good pedal even if I sold. Value / more than interesting even if the Strymon range is relatively expensive price.
However, I do not know if I would take it again, I would have preferred a more Effectrode or registered shops.
For those who have tested Boss, Mxr or others in the same range, it is the day and night
