The DOD FX90 is a delay guitar effects pedal that is an analog based piece of gear. It has a 1/4 inch input for your instrument and a 1/4 inch output for your amp. It is not a rackable piece of gear as it is a stomp box.

UTILIZATION

The configuration of the DOD FX90 delay pedal is extremely easy to follow and use because there are only three knobs. The knobs control levels for delay, mix, and repeat. Since it only has three knobs, getting the tone you are looking for is pretty easy. Even though there are only a few parameters, it is still pretty versatile and capable for getting a wide range of delay effects. I don't have a manual for the DOD FX90, but it is easy enough to use that you don't need one if you don't have one.

SOUND QUALITY

The sound quality of the DOD FX90 is good, but isn't anything too special in my opinion. It will definitely give you a usable delay tone for live performances, but I probably wouldn't use this pedal for recording because the tone isn't rich or vibrate enough. I only use this pedal with guitar - usually a Fender Strat and a '76 Fender Twin Reverb, but this pedal will work with any electronic instrument that you would like to use this pedal with.

OVERALL OPINION

I've been using the DOD FX90 delay pedal for about three years and have found it to be a useful delay pedal, and nothing really beyond that. It is extremely easy to use, but the tone isn't all that impressive and kills your signal a little bit. For this reason I would never use this for recording, but if you are looking for a cheap delay pedal for live shows, this will work fine. The price is the best part, as like almost all DOD pedals, this will save you money when compared to some other delay pedals. I would encourage those interested to check out this pedal and see if the difference in price is worth the difference in tone.
