Published on 04/21/18 at 02:25I’ve used this Red Panda (a grainshifter/pitch shifter to be precise as to what it does) with all sorts of machines (samplers, drum machines, synths), and I found it particularly inspiring.
It is demanding and won’t find its place in just any setup, but when it does it’s an incredible tool to create sound textures and unheard of sounds!!!
The pedal is easy to use from the start, you can instantly start experimenting with it, however exploiting it more deeply requires some time and this is where it reveals all of its capacities.
The sound grains are efficient to make sounds glitch, to dirty up rhythm sounds or add a bit of strangeness to ethereal textures.
