Internal trim pot: Used to fine tune the REPEAT control knob. Factory setting is dead center. At this setting, the Delay will have infinite repeats when the repeat knob is turned all the way up.
This is a boutique delay pedal that sounds VERY GOOD and has quite a few options that aren't too confusing! I have the older one with the slightly less-designed-looking screen print.
UTILIZATION
Plug in, play and tweak the knobs accordingly.
Quite easy to use, the configuration is simple and meant for quick tweaking. Not like others where you spend hours trying to get something to sound half decent.
Having the trails option switch is nice too. Though I generally prefer trails as it just seems to be more natural in any song when a guitar signal slowly fades out as opposed to just cutting off.
SOUND QUALITY
I've used this pedal quite a few times on many different guitars and amps and have always loved the delay sound. It's very very...boutique? Or just nice over all.
I can't say that it's completely transparent as I think that it has it's own sound but it's such a good sound that everybody that plays through this will enjoy it!
It is true bypass however, so not to degrade any of the original signal. I'd say it is truly is as advertised. It's lush and sweet and never cold or harsh!
OVERALL OPINION
Overall it's a great sounding delay pedal! The options are all there and the pedal itself is easy to tweak. It's ALMOST perfect. The one thing missing is a tap tempo switch.
I think I represent most delay players when I say that a tap tempo is absolutely necessary for live playing. It is always easier to adjust the tempo of each song that way then bending over and turning a knob, especially if one is using differently-set delay times within ONE song.
And unfortunately, there's no output jack to hook up an external tap tempo switch either. So the echobox loses a bit of marks there. Otherwise this pedal would've been one of the best sounding delay pedals AND perfect pedal for LIVE use.
