Published on 03/04/13 at 11:46Analog delay pedal with modulation size, true bypass. Up to 900ms of delay with the knob, 3s via tap tempo. We do not know why but ç'est not like either. Input and output jack, power supply 9v Boss-type, more practical battery cover (on the front edge of the pedal, and a small bonus, ce expression pedal to control the delay time.
UTILIZATION
When you look at the first time, we say there is a lot of buttons. 7 knobs with a "push", 2 footswitches, sure there's a few more people on the Aqua Puss.
Obviously there are the classics:
- Delay to set the delay time
- Feedback to control the number of repetitions
- Mix to adjust the balance between treated and untreated by the pedal.
Add to this a "depth" and "speed" modulation, and a "gain" and "tone" to change the grain repetitions.
By pressing the "Feedback", change the setting of the subdivisions, allowing adjustment a little more advanced. A long press switches the "chase mode", where the pedal automatically switches between different subdivisions for effect rather experimental. At least 72 of shoes and wear boots, it may very well turn this little button at the bottom.
Anyway, basically I paraphrase the manual that is complete and clear, but in English. For allergy sufferers, will be a help and Larousse Collins.
Question settings, you can do many things. There's easy way to lose, maybe even a little to get excited. Indeed settings and feedback gain are interdependent (it makes sense, but still): I mean, with a fixed feedback control, increasing the number of repetitions with the gain. But a little tweaking, we finally understand and get what you want.

SOUND QUALITY
I am a bassist, and therefore unable to give an opinion on the result on guitar.
So after, for the background, I had the Aqua-Puss, I loved the grain. Base is the same circuit, so a priori the same sound, but with more possible adjustments. I particularly like the ability to adjust the gain for me a very dirty delay (I usually have a light on my bass OD), and the tone to add a bit of treble from time to time.
We can do almost anything you want with it, and it still sounds good. To my taste anyway.
Note the ability to disable the true bypass to keep rehearsals after disabling the pedal. To let her die delay while chaining on a new game for example, or fuck a bazaar with its expression pedal while playing a good riff over.
OVERALL OPINION

I love the expression pedal because I like making noises and I do not like being on his knees during concerts. I love the "chase mode", especially random (it wanders alone and randomly between the four subdivisions), but it is also related to the fact that I like the sound a bit unusual.
I'm not a big fan of the delay modulation in general, but it's still a little more fun and this one is not too bad.
It is a little pricey compared to the EHX example, offering more or less the same with the Deluxe Memory Boy quasimment for half the price. However, Way Huge pedals in general inspire me more confidence that EHX strength level. Must Gether opportunity to get one at low cost, but in my opinion this is not common. The Aqua Puss is a good alternative for the budget, but only 300ms, and no modulation or other fun stuff.
I think I'll keep this for a very long delay, and if I do it again it again without hesitation.
