I play everything, man. Metal, Blues, Classic-Rock, Modern-Rock, pretty much everything.

I don't really have a band, but I like jaming with my friends just about every weekend and it would be cool if we got a recording unit... but we don't

I bought this pedal from Musicians-Friend,
and I paid $70 plus tax and shipping charges.

I like the 4 band EQ a lot. You can use it for any kinda style that calls for distortion. The bright blue LED looks cool. Pro quality distortion. And built liek a tank, man.

It's KINDA bulky. And theres no included AC adaptor, but it comes with a 9 VOLT battery so I geuss its ok.

Built like a tank, man! And not a crappy Korean one! HAHA!


If you like pro distortion that can get from bluesy sounds to insanely distorted death metal and everything in between, than this thing is for you!

it is a distortion pedal, it does nothing else! this is the analog I think, with one input and one output jack (super basic)

UTILIZATION

where it thickens a bit! good to begin with, there is a level adjustment, distortion (gain) so far so good! now turn to equalize .... 4 bands! it takes time to adjust but once you understand how it works, it works bah! then the settings are High, low, mid and mid freq, and it is very easy to get different type of sound, saturated exclusively.

SOUND QUALITY

This is a very powerful distortion, no complaints about that.
I play it with Seymour Duncan active, it takes a very, very big sound!

OVERALL OPINION

it's been 3 years since I use it, no complaints!
I love his power, just under his stripper side acute.
it is a robust pedal, good price / quality ratio
I do not think changing any time soon but I do not know if I would reiterate.

SOUND QUALITY

SOUND QUALITY

Do not rely necessarily on its name lil metal planet! Yes, it is typed big sound, but if you push a lil bit of distortion (8:00 for example) it's still very rock. The variety of sounds offered no EQ is quite impressive! The distortion on top of that is relatively warm (nothing to do with MT2). In short it is very versatile, almost as much as DS1, but warmer (this is only my opinion ...). The distortion is well on fat easily if you push the knob a little, do not worry. For distortion, its versatility is quite impressive.

OVERALL OPINION

I bought just one week ago and I use it regularly. I was looking for a fairly versatile chaude.Je distortion is not metal, a little hard to the limit and it suits me perfectly. I use it with vintage stuff: an old twin reverb, a 1981 Ibanez artist and strato american vintage 1962. I use it to supplement my tube screamer, for solos sharper but trying to keep a certain subtlety ... In short his part rock'n'roll surprised me and seduced me. For rock, punk or metal, it really does. A try at least!
