The last dated Flanger Boss brand: the BF-3. Equally suitable for bass guitar for 2 inputs. In stereo: 2 outputs (to enjoy the effect panner).
Digital technology, unlike its prédescesseurs BF-2 and BF-1.
4 settings: - res: overall level of the flanging effect
- Manual: position of the wave where the effect is applied.
- Depth: depth, intensity
- Rate: Speed
4 modes:
- Normal
- Ultra: more pronounced effect
- Gate / pan: panner effect and add if you want a flanger
- Momentary: the effect is active only if you let your foot pressing the pedal
+ Tap tempo: the tempo is adjusted to the foot after standing in support of 2 sec on the pedal

SOUND QUALITY
A few samples here ( http://www.modezero.com/boss-bf3.htm ) , here ( https://www.musiciansfriend.com/product/Boss-BF3-Flanger?sku=151423 ) , but especially here ( http://www.bosscorp.co.jp/demos/en/BF-3_sound/demo.html ) .
The sound quality is average. Very average compared to BF-1, BF-2 & HF-2.
It sounds cold and clear digital. The effect sometimes appears behind the original signal, impreigné not 100%.
OVERALL OPINION
We often read that it's a flanger with modern features, however, his perspective was lost as much: no warm & organic sounds. Disappointment, I keep my unbeatable BF-2.
