« Ibanez CF7 Chorus / Flanger »
Published on 11/10/02 at 15:00World Music in Simi Valley, CA for $69.99. I really bought it just for the flanger.
It's great! The thing has some beautiful chorus and twiddling the knobs around gets you some crazy modulation effects you'd never expect to coax out of such a harmless looking box.
Eats batteries! Invest in an adapter. Also, it has a weak flanger. I've tried, but I can't quite get the deep Kashmir-style flanger sound out of it.
There's a little test I put all my pedals through before I play them. I open them up and, holding the reciept firmly in one hand, I lift the pedal to shoulder's altitude and drop it. If it bounces and still works, it can stay. The CF7 passed with flying colors, and the Tone-Lok knobs are great too.
Anyone who digs the strange sounds of Korn would be wise to buy this little tank. It sounds great and isn't too hard on the wallet.
