«  Pure beauty with a warm sound »

Published on 10/20/14 at 13:11
It's a boutique pedal MADE IN FRANCE type "Phaser" with analog sound obviously. The finish is absolutely beautiful with its mahogany plaque and "Anasounds" engraved logo on top. We immediately feel the warm "vintage" side of the brand. This is a real success of this view.

Here are the detailed specifications:
Weight: 400 g
Dimensions: 12 x 9 x 6 cm
IC JRC4558, LM13600
True bypass switch with gold plated contacts
Integrated to mitigate the power supply noise filter. External 9V power supply not included.
Mahogany plaque lasered
Logo engraved in the wood

UTILIZATION

Setup is simple with two knobs:
SPEED: Set the frequency of oscillations between high and low frequency filtering.
REGEN: change the presence of effect on the bass.

Changes potentiometers are full of finesse in the first three quarters of their race. The remaining quarter will be for the most extravagant sounds.

SOUND QUALITY

Tested on my Gibson Les Paul with a good tube amp Marshall type, this pedal offers warm, deep tones with a beautiful spatialization. Bass are well defined, soft midrange and treble sound slightly crystalline. It's a treat for me! We keep a very open sound, good accuracy and great clarity of each note. There is no draft unwelcome crunch on the clean sound as certain model. And that is a pure joy to me.

On a clean sound arpeggios, it is a wonder with SPEED to third and two thirds to REGEN (my favorite setting). For a crunch, it will lower the REGEN to third for greater accuracy on the treble. A high level of saturation, the sound is a synthetic hair. I advocate in this case to stay below the first quarter on two knobs if you want to keep an organic sound.

OVERALL OPINION

Bought there less than a month, it has become my new standard for clean my plans arpeggios pick. For my solo with distortion, I associate it with a clean boost to keep a more organic sound.

If I compare with the classics like MXR (I already tested and sold right away), this pedal is well above the level of sound and build quality. If I compare a boutique brand known as Providence pedal that I like, this pedal takes extremely good distance.

We must not forget that we are dealing with a model MADE IN FRANCE fully constructed and assembled by hand. And with its stunning good, I promise you will be the envy.

Thank you for this ANASOUNDS pedal, we want more!
