Sound less muffled than agate (I have another) and less typical than others. It makes both electric and acoustic, nylon or steel ... It emphasizes the frequencies in a balanced way, I'd say ...
If you have never used Dugain, it seems really good to begin with.
I do not know if the pick on the other hand wears over time, as may be the case for plectra wood, bone etc.. I use it for four months and I still have not seen any deterioration of the tip.
I remake that choice without hesitation, and if I lose I will redeem the same.
Edit 01/2013: In fact, if the Dugain Acrylic eventually wear out. After months of use, the tip ended up planing. Shame because it's probably my favorite Dugain in terms of versatility. I would have to find an equivalent in stone.
