I use these mics for 3 years on my stratocaster US Texas Special.
CHARACTERISTICS The main of these pickups are level output important for single coil and a medium enhanced compared to standard micro-US.
Fender has chosen Premire up in the signature Stratocasters Mark Knopfler (Dire Staite) and SRV (Stevie Ray Vaughan), the sound is actually close to the old hard trs Dire Straits with great attack and a tendency go on a lightweight crunch ds that the attack is more incisive. Intermdiaires positions 2 and 4 are well particulirement hollow, restoring rhythmic funky perfectly tipyque the stratocaster.
In terms of SRV, the strong tendency to crunch and pronounced medium is well suited to approximate the sound of the master.
These must be utiliss microphones with amplifiers of good quality lamps or quality of transistors and having a reserve of power available allowing to master the nuances of playing the guitar volume. Large distortions are not the cup of tea this type of microphones. Their behavior becomes rough or high power then we must reduce the volume lgrement the guitar always because of their emphasis medium.
