« Opinion Fender Pickup Set 57/62 »
Published on 06/13/10 at 01:39I use it now for 6 months on my Fender Standard Stratocaster!
Before I Standard Pickups that were inside that were not bad, but they sounded too modern for my taste, then I tried the Set of Fender Fat 50's pickups that sounded not too bad, but a little too dark in general , but the microphone Bridge and Middle pleased me well.
Then I swapped the boards against a Set of 57/62 and I find I have the sound I wanted, but the only really great position for the microphones in my opinion is the microphone Neck (Neck) it sounds really hot wholesale and vintage, the best position for the microphone, in middle position and Bridge I find it too late, so I sure will again change the micro bridge and middle for the Start!
The Set Fender 57/62 pickups is actually 3 completely identical and can be installed or you will, ie there is no order to install these pickups, any microphone is to bridge middle, neck ... Set not like FAT 50's eg each microphone has a colored dot behind which specifies the use neck, middle and bridge ...
With this set of micro (57/62) were not reverse polarity in position 2 and 4, so it was also the buzz of a traditional strat ...
YES I would do this choice, but I would buy only a single microphone position for Channel 57/62 because it is really great for the other position is not that they are zero, they are also very good but it is a matter of taste!
