The quality / price of these pickups is pretty amazing.
It is therefore a set of single coils type fender vintage (year 50/60), but how inflated Texas. The impedances are between 9 and 10 kOhms.
Result: an output level for more than a result of single coils, a strong enough natural compression and a high sensitivity to the attack.
However being warned to back and attacking these pickups are very, very biting, you have to play the tone, volume and attack to soften.
This may be their main disadvantage: they do not forgive the mistakes of the game, nothing. I played guitar before a softer ... um ... the level of demand goes up!
Side benefit: the Fender sound is there (that said, there are so many sounds that Fender Stratocaster models' ... then say it is a recognizable sound), and the range is very wide: from the rhythmic rock or biting hard rock, to jazz sounds of the killing in fonk split.
Warning: GFH has several sets. In most, the microphone in the middle is wound in reverse, to create a double effect on the intermediate positions and eliminate buzz. From my point of view, it is a monumental bullshit (but that is only my opinion . Indeed, it loses the two most wonderful combination of micro!
This set is mounted against by normally and, if to shield his guitar with copper (or failing that of aluminum), there is no issue more buzz than other systems, even at high volume and saturated.
I bought these mics to customize my first guitar (an Ibanez blazer of 81), and in fact I did not expect this quality at all!
With experience ... I would hesitate with the normal set (non Overwound), for an even more flute.
