« A very pleasant surprise »
Published on 05/14/14 at 14:50Micros bought in Paris "micro-boutique" (http://www.micros-boutique-effets-guitar-parts.com/) to replace a pair of BK The Mule on my old Les Paul R7 2008.
I could compare with other brand pickups in comparative tests with the seller who took the time necessary for me to choose the right model. These mics all have a very strong personality (signatures models are bluffing realist). The aged finish is very nice.
I ended up throwing my sights on PAF59 that match perfectly with what I was looking for and I married with a vintage 50 electronic kit that I took with ...
And ... I found what I wanted for my LP: a micro bridge punchy and full dynamic "to Jimmy Page" and a stunning neck pickup with everything I like (the velvety, a great response to the attack as clear crunch, well detached notes and "honk" I love). All with great variability of sounds because of the super effective tone (ca finally it comes from kit).
Briefly, in the register vintage Gibson, I recommend without reservation!
